PRE-SCHOOL TUMBLING CLASSES (18 months to 5 years)
The Pre-School Tumbling program at Damon's CTA allows students as early as 18 months old to develop physically, mentally, socially and emotionally. The program emphasizes development of the child's overall muscle tone, balance, flexibility and perceptual skills as well as listening, self-discipline and social interaction. This level is also designed to introduce basic tumbling terms, strength, agility and tumbling skills that are incorporated into obstacle courses. The class ration is 6:1. The following is a brief description of each class.
PARENT & ME - (ages 18 mths to 3 yrs)
The Parent & Me class allows students to learn the basic FUNdamentals of gymnastics while in a safe and supervised environment. The classes focus on helping your child develop balance, coordination, strength, agility, flexibility and socially with basic skills such as forward and backward rolls, log rolls and scales. Class ratio do not exceed 6:1. Class time is 45 minutes to 1 hour.
TINY TUMBLERS - (ages 4 and 5 yrs)
The Tiny Tumblers class is the second level of pre-school tumbling classes that continues to help develop the fundamentals while adding more skills to increase coordination, strength, agility and flexibility. They are introduced to headstands and handstands and work on their cartwheels, round-offs and backbends. The class ratio is 6:1. Class time is 1 hour.
ADVANCED TINY TUMBLERS - (ages 4 and 5 yrs)
This class is the third level of the pre-school classes that focus on perfecting the handstands, cartwheels and round-offs and introduces the back handspring. Strength, agility, flexibility and repetition training are stressed in these classes since they are imperative for learning and executing proper tumbling technique. The class ratio is 6:1. Class time is 1 hour.
